I am a sound engineer based in Melbourne. I also play in guitar band Woollen Kits and synthesiser band Nun and graduated the RMIT Fine Art Sound course. I have worked with bands Repairs, UV Race, Trench Sisters, Constant Mongrel, East Link, Chook Race, and also recorded some Woollen Kits. I am always willing and excited to work with any kind of music and always work off friendly rates.
My studio is portable, meaning I can record anywhere you like, providing there's a power outlet. Most recordings have been done in single rehearsal rooms, and really, I think wherever you are most comfortable playing is where you'll get the best results.
Samples and examples of my past work are available to listen to below.
If you're interested in working together, please email me at the address to the right.
Current projects to be uploaded in the near future include: UV Race, School Of Radiant Living, Bed Wettin' Bad Boys and Absolute Boys.
UV RACE - HERO (NEU COVER)
From the Autonomy & Deliberation sessions, UV Race covering Neu's, Hero, with alternate lyrics. "Just another hero in a recording booth!".
EASTLINK - WILD DOG
4 guitars and 1 drummer make up Eastlink. Heaps of fun this one. Great song, too. Finished late 2011.
NUN - IMMERSION
More minimal synth. Bit less The Normal and a bit more gothy.
REPAIRS - HIGH RISE HORIZON
Cold and minimal synth track recorded in Repairs tin shed. Very dry, mostly recorded direct in.
TRENCH SISTERS - BOOTS OF LEAD
Originally I recorded this one in late 2010, but revisited and remixed it late last year.
CHOOK RACE - THINKING ABOUT YOU
This recording was for their split tape with Bad Aches. Pummeled through some outboard stuff and covered in spring reverb. Early 2011.
WOOLLEN KITS - MATHS
Very old recording, from the RIP Society single. I'll put up some newer Woollen Kits stuff soon.
